Last-minute holiday orders
This great tip was passed along by Webcomics.com member Jules.
I was talking to a friend of mine who runs a tea shop and she had a great bit of advice.
She takes a lot of online Christmas orders and I asked what she did about last-minute holiday shipping (as of today, I can’t guarantee delivery on time). Rather than pay out the big bucks for rush deliveries, she emails an “On The Way” PDF for home printing. That way, if the gift doesn’t make it in time, at least there’s an envelope under the tree for the big morning. Some of them are pretty cute actually, they’re set up to print on 8.5″x11″, quarter folded and she’ll customize them with a list and/or pic of the items that are coming or keep it a surprise with something like “your gift is coming from XYZ”.
Here’s a helpful template.
