At first, I was hoping for a Call-To-Action (CTA) button that would simply deliver readers to my site, but, once gave it a little thought, I really wasn’t that upset that such a button wasn’t available.
After all, I’m already posting my content on Facebook. It’s not a perfect system, to be sure, but every one of those posts contains a link back to my site. I’ve got that base pretty well covered, in other words.
But a Call-To-Action is something else entirely. It’s a marketing philosophy that states that people will be more likely to do a certain action if it is suggested to them. And what do I really want from my Facebook readers?
They’re already reading the comic. They can find the site if they want to.
The best use of that button is to push merchandise!
So I set up my CTA button to direct people to my online storefront.
Track your results
Setting up a CTA button adds a CTA field (right) to your Fan Page interface.
This will tell you how many clicks that button is getting.
If you try this out, please take a moment and stop back in a week or so and report your progress.
