CMYK Preview in RGB mode
Q. So I accidentally set up some pages I am coloring in RGB instead of CMYK (and yes these are intended for print), and am wondering if I am going to have problems with the conversion (major color shifts). The line work is mostly black, but has various areas that have tints added to it. I tried as much as possible to keep the colors within gamut once I discovered what I had done, but there may have been a few that I did not catch. I am okay with slight color shifts, but would like to avoid anything major.
Any tips to help make the conversion smooth as possible would be appreciated, like what colors tend to shift the most would be helpful to know. These would not be easy to recolor since there is a LOT of layers (I color in method akin to using watercolor paints; semi-transparent layers built up over each other, with line work as the topmost layer.)
So here’s the deal. You have two major areas to keep your eyes on — color shift and black lines.
