A few months ago, the Supreme Court’s ruling on South Dakota vs Wayfair, Inc. changed sales-tax law across the United States. In the past, a cartoonist using an online storefront only needed to remit sales tax in the state in which they held a business presence (typically their home state). That’s no longer the case.
