Brainstorming gags
Here’s a method of brainstorming that I find particularly useful when I’m felling stuck for inspriation.
If I’m trying to write on a particular subject, I’ll write down all the words that I can think of that relate directly to that subject. I’ll write them into a long, long list down the left-hand side of a sheet of paper (or several, if the words are flowing). For example, If I’m writing about cooking, I’ll be sure to include

Tax tips from the IRS
As you’re prepping taxes for 2010, this is a good time to get a better start on 2011. As you’re probably experiencing, half of the battle os record keeping. According to FareCompare.com, there have been six price increases in air fares since December of last year. Pair that with the unrest in the Middle East, which is liable to drive oil prices up this summer, and you have the recipe for some truly punishing fares for last-minute bookers.
