Not so long ago, in recording a podcast that hasn’t gone public (yet), I blamed Kickstarter for everything.

If you’re new to the Hitch It / Ditch It critiques, the rule are simple. I go to your site, and I identify something that I think you’re doing well. Then I mention something that I think could be improved. Then, the membership jumps in with their own thoughts. If you’d like to have your work addressed by a critique, it is expected that you participate in the critiques of the work of others.

It really wasn’t that long ago that I decided to convert this Web site to a subscription-based resource. The reaction was fierce. There were threats. There were recriminations. There were insults (galore). And there were countless predictions of the imminent failure of Webcomics.com.

If you, like me, find yourself setting up several line items in Google DFP, you’re probably a little tired of setting up the same settings over and over again. After all, most of your line items probably share the same properties — especially all of your house ads. Here’s a great tip on creating default settings for line items. The next time you set up a line item, these pre-selected settings will be automatically selected. Of course, these settings can be changed after you create the line item.

As always, you DO NOT have to be a member of the NCS to have your work considered for a divisional award… all that is required is that the work be eligible as detailed below.

Earlier this week, I asked a question: “How do you — as a user, not as a creator — feel about being invited to Like someone’s Page on Facebook?” The answers to my unscientific poll were split practically down the middle, with the majority (“No”) edging out in the end.

Here’s another useful Facebook tip that had been flying under my radar: You can highlight posts by making their photo/video element span two columns on your page (instead of one).

Q: Of the places you mention in your book Webcomics Handbook, which is the best place to be hosted and would it be bad to post a comic on all 5 places?
(WordPress.com, Comicfury.com, Smackjeeves.com, Comicgenesis.com, Drunkduck.com)
I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I’m really lost and am spinning my wheels on the issue of Free Hosting and where it should be or should I strike out on my own someplace somehow. Although I’m not good with computers so Free Hosting is pretty much my only choice.

In the Private Forum, a member asked the following:
If you’ve been following a webcomic and you don’t like the direction it is taking and eventually it gets to the point where you’re not enjoying it and decide to stop reading it, as a good fan should you politely just forget the comic exists or should you tell the creator why you have decided to stop following his/her’s work?
